Your tasks
- Support research in European Global Studies and global history, with emphasis on environmental history and Europe's global context (18th-20th centuries)
- Work on your doctoral dissertation in history or European Global Studies
- Help plan and deliver teaching activities in European Global Studies and global history for the interdisciplinary Masters Program
- Assist with organizing lectures, conferences, public events, and excursions
- Actively participate in interdisciplinary activities at the Institute, such as presenting your research at events
- Support academic administration tasks at the Institute
What you bring
- Master's degree in history with excellent marks, or in a related field with strong historical training
- Started or planning to start a doctoral dissertation in global history or European history from a global perspective
- Interest in environmental history, history of empire, history of knowledge, or human-nature relations
- Collegial, open-minded, and able to work independently
- Strong organizational skills
- Very good written and spoken German and English skills
