Join a dynamic team at the Department of Biomedicine, where you help advance personalized cancer treatment using cutting-edge imaging technologies. You work at the intersection of clinical research, biomedical imaging, and oncology, directly impacting patient care in a collaborative, international environment.

Your tasks

  • Coordinate the sample workflow by working with clinicians and pathologists
  • Handle FFPE sections together with the Institute of Pathology
  • Design and optimize high-plex IMC panels with 35–40 markers each
  • Conjugate antibodies with metal isotopes and validate them
  • Carry out the full IMC workflow from start to finish
  • Collect data on the Hyperion/IMC system, perform quality controls, and process data
  • Summarize and present findings to tumor boards and in multidisciplinary meetings
  • Keep accurate records for all procedures and samples

What you bring

  • PhD or equivalent expertise in biology, histopathology, biomedical sciences, imaging, oncology, or related areas
  • Practical experience with Imaging Mass Cytometry or similar high-plex tissue imaging
  • Good knowledge of cancer biology, tumor immune microenvironment, and signaling pathways
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent oral and written English skills; able to present complex data to clinical audiences (German is helpful but not required)
  • Motivated, proactive, and collaborative mindset
  • Careful and critical approach to experimental design and data quality
  • Interest in translational science and using advanced technologies to improve patient care
  • Willingness to work closely with a data scientist; interest in data analysis is a plus
