Join the Faculty of Psychology at Switzerland's oldest university and support a research project focused on how people of different ages judge public spaces for safety and crime risk. Work with a team using online studies, lab experiments, and innovative methods like AI-driven language analysis and cognitive modeling.

This position is for 6 hours per week over 12 months, starting 1 September 2026.

Your tasks

  • Support both online and laboratory parts of the research project
  • Help curate stimulus sets for studies
  • Assist in designing and running studies, including recruiting participants and managing data
  • Engage with open science practices
  • Ensure ethical standards and participant welfare at all stages

What you bring

  • Bachelor's degree in psychology or a related field
  • Strong interest in developmental perspectives on judgment and decision-making
  • Experience programming online experiments (such as SoSciSurvey or LimeSurvey)
  • Experience with statistical programming in R
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a team
  • Fluency in both English and German
  • Experience with image processing tools is a plus, but not required
