Join the Faculty of Psychology at Switzerland's oldest university and support a research project focused on how people of different ages judge public spaces for safety and crime risk. Work with a team using online studies, lab experiments, and innovative methods like AI-driven language analysis and cognitive modeling.
This position is for 6 hours per week over 12 months, starting 1 September 2026.
Your tasks
- Support both online and laboratory parts of the research project
- Help curate stimulus sets for studies
- Assist in designing and running studies, including recruiting participants and managing data
- Engage with open science practices
- Ensure ethical standards and participant welfare at all stages
What you bring
- Bachelor's degree in psychology or a related field
- Strong interest in developmental perspectives on judgment and decision-making
- Experience programming online experiments (such as SoSciSurvey or LimeSurvey)
- Experience with statistical programming in R
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work well in a team
- Fluency in both English and German
- Experience with image processing tools is a plus, but not required
