UniBE offers a 2-year postdoctoral position at the interface of frequency-comb technology, laser spectroscopy, atmospheric physics, isotope science, and climate research. This role provides access to excellent infrastructure in laser labs and research stations in the Swiss Alps, and a visible role in a new interdisciplinary initiative with strong potential for high-impact publications and follow-up funding.
Requirements
- PhD in physics, photonics, optical engineering, atmospheric physics, or a related field
- Strong experimental background in ultrafast optics, laser spectroscopy, frequency-comb technology, remote sensing, or related areas
- Independence, excellent project management skills, and enthusiasm for interdisciplinary climate research
- Additional assets: experience with dual-comb spectroscopy, nonlinear frequency conversion, free-space optical links, atmospheric sensing, or field-deployed instrumentation
