We are seeking a board-certified veterinary neurologist holding an ECVN or ACVIM Diploma in Neurology. Board-eligible candidates with a clear pathway to certification will also be considered. The successful candidate is expected to bring a strong commitment to both clinical excellence and research and academic engagement.

Tasks

  • Manage advanced neurological cases.
  • Actively participate in established and developing research projects.
  • Engage in teaching undergraduate veterinary education as well as postgraduate and residency training programmes.
  • Mentor the next generation of neurologists.

Requirements

  • Hold an ECVN or ACVIM Diploma in Neurology, or be board-eligible with a clear pathway to certification.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in at least one of Switzerland's national languages (German, French, or Italian), as required for professional practice in Switzerland.
  • Fluency in English, as it serves as the primary working language within the Divisions.
  • Strong commitment to clinical excellence, research, and academic engagement.
  • Enthusiasm for mentoring and teaching.

The Division of Neurology is a dynamic referral service managing approximately 1,000 neurological cases per year, supported by state-of-the-art diagnostics, neurosurgery, and a full range of diagnostic and therapeutic facilities. It is embedded in the multi-disciplinary environment of the Small Animal Teaching Hospital with regular exposure to large animals.
