Your tasks
- Design, implement, and deploy scalable multimodal and multilingual AI algorithms and models for production environments.
- Architect and optimize models for reliable deployment in web applications, turning research prototypes into robust solutions.
- Develop and maintain high-quality production pipelines (MLOps).
- Write high-quality code with strong testing and documentation.
- Adapt and integrate off-the-shelf solutions for research projects.
- Handle data pre-processing, post-processing, and annotation to support production systems.
- Develop and train large multimodal AI models for medical data.
- Contribute to projects such as RadVLM (Conversational Vision-Language Model for Radiology) and RADICAL (Radiology AI-Driven Clinical Decision-Making with Multi-Modal Exploration).
What you bring
- M.Sc. in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Computational Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in Machine Learning, Computational Linguistics, or related fields.
- Expertise with large AI models (LLM, VLM), computational methods, data analysis, and software/algorithm development.
- Proven ability to move research models into scalable, production systems.
- Experience building, deploying, and maintaining user-facing APIs for AI features.
- Strong Python coding skills and passion for software development and MLOps in AI.
- Extensive experience with deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, Hugging Face) and tools (Git, Linux, Docker/Singularity, Slurm).
- Ability to do original research in computational sciences.
- Work well independently and as part of a team, both in-person and online.
- Handle multiple projects at once.
- Present research and work internally and externally.
