Your tasks

  • Lead the Laboratory for Muon Spin Spectroscopy (LMU) at the PSI Center for Neutron and Muon Sciences (CNM).
  • Manage about 20 permanent scientific, technical, and administrative staff, plus students and postdoctoral researchers in two research groups focused on bulk µSR studies and low-energy muons.
  • Oversee the scientific use of SµS, operating seven muon instruments and running a top muon science user program for about 200 Swiss and international users each year.
  • Engage with the NCCR Muoniverse, the Quantum Matter and Materials Discovery Center (QMMC), and the UZH DEMETER Center to advance research in quantum materials and muon detector technology.
  • Promote excellent junior researchers and support Open Science principles through your projects and leadership.
  • Acquire external research funding and help build a future-oriented university with innovative teaching.
