Tasks
- Articulate a compelling vision for the future of neurological research and education.
- Lead large research teams and secure competitive third-party funding.
- Contribute to teaching at all levels, including student instruction, thesis supervision, and mentorship of early-career researchers.
- Strengthen existing collaborations within the hospital and with external research institutions.
- Foster interdisciplinary collaboration and further develop the existing Clinical Neuroscience Center in close partnership with the Department of Neurosurgery and the Department of Neuroradiology.
Requirements
- Outstanding clinical expertise and a distinguished scientific track record with strong international recognition.
- Habilitation (or equivalent qualification) and board certification in neurology.
- Relevant research areas may include cerebrovascular diseases, neurooncology, movement disorders, neurodegenerative diseases, and neuroimmunology.
- Leadership experience at the level of senior physician or senior attending physician at a university hospital.
- Proven ability to lead large research teams and secure competitive third-party funding.
- Experience in teaching at all levels, including student instruction, thesis supervision, and mentorship of early-career researchers.
- German language skills at level B2 of the common European framework of reference for languages should be available or must be acquired within a reasonable period of time.
