Tasks

  • Support the Chair with background research on issues pertaining to family law, medical law, legal gender studies, human rights, and reproduction law.
  • Assist with the finalisation of academic publications in top international legal journals and with international publishers, depending on the start date of employment.
  • Provide on-site assistance during an international workshop leading to the publication of the Oxford Handbook on Families and the Law (21-23 June 2026).
  • Handle teaching-related tasks, such as preparing OLAT course pages and communicating with students taking courses offered by the Chair.

Requirements

  • You hold or are about to complete an excellent bachelor's degree in law.
  • You have a strong interest in questions around family law, human rights law, legal gender studies and reproduction, and interdisciplinary approaches to law (or some of these fields).
  • You are reliable and eager to learn.
  • You are proficient in both German and English as scientific and working languages; additional linguistic skills, especially French and Italian, are an advantage.
