VAT Group AG invites a talented and passionate intern to join Corporate R&D, focusing on advancing corrosion protection strategies for sensors and products used in semiconductor manufacturing. This internship is located in Zürich, Switzerland, with occasional travel to Haag, Switzerland.

Tasks

  • Support the development of protective measures to enhance material and sensor durability under extreme conditions.
  • Assist in the design, implementation, and testing of corrosion protection strategies.
  • Conduct failure analysis and material testing to identify failure mechanisms.
  • Design experiments for testing the durability of VAT’s products in plasma etching systems.

Requirements

  • Current master’s student or recently completed master’s degree in materials science, chemistry, physics, or engineering.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Passionate about learning.
  • Experience with or knowledge of material characterization and semiconductor fabrication.
  • (Optional) Understanding of dry etching processes and thin-film deposition processes.
  • (Optional) Practical experience working in a laboratory or clean environment.
