The Finance Transformation is building a connected, collaborative Finance Function that is faster and more insight-driven by transforming processes, data and tools, and introducing new ways of working and AI to amplify Finance talent. This role plays a key part in the technology stream, ensuring Group Finance leverages the right platforms for the right processes across planning, consolidation, reporting and analytics.

Tasks

  • Define and evolve the end-to-end solution architecture for Group Finance processes, including planning, consolidation, reporting, analytics and performance management.
  • Ensure each process is supported by the most suitable platform, such as SAP Group Reporting for consolidation, Anaplan for planning, and Databricks for data and analytics, avoiding duplication and custom shadow IT.
  • Translate requirements into solution designs, integration patterns and implementation options, balancing standardisation, flexibility and cost.
  • Challenge and refine business requirements to fit platform capabilities and long-term architecture principles.
  • Define how Finance platforms integrate (SAP, Anaplan, Databricks, reporting/BI tools) to deliver consistent, governed data for planning and reporting.
  • Contribute to the Finance data architecture, including data domains, models, flows and lineage, ensuring key data is managed as a single source of truth.
  • Support solution review and design authority processes, ensuring new initiatives adhere to agreed architecture.
  • Act as lead Business Solution Architect across key Finance Transformation projects and technology initiatives.
  • Provide guidance to project teams on solution options, trade-offs and technical risks.
  • Review key design artefacts, such as solution designs, interface specifications and data models, and support issue resolution.
  • Collaborate closely with Group Finance leadership, BU Finance, Group IT, data/analytics teams and platform owners.
  • Explain complex architecture topics in clear business language and build consensus around design decisions.
  • Contribute to communication and education on the target Finance technology landscape.
  • Propose improvements to the Finance architecture, including better use of Anaplan and Databricks, standardisation of data and simplification of the system landscape.

Requirements

  • Strong experience in Finance or Group Finance processes, such as planning and forecasting, consolidation, reporting, performance management or capital management.
  • Proven track record in solution architecture or senior business/IT design roles within Finance transformation programmes.
  • Experience with SAP finance platforms, such as S/4HANA Finance or SAP Group Reporting, and their role in Group reporting.
  • Knowledge of Anaplan and Databricks is a strong advantage.
  • Solid understanding of data and integration architecture.
  • Experience working in complex, global programmes, preferably in the insurance or financial services sector.
  • Ability to lead solution design across multiple projects, balancing strategic direction and pragmatic delivery.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills; comfortable working with senior Finance and IT stakeholders, platform owners and external partners.
  • Structured, analytical and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to simplify complexity and communicate clearly to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong collaboration skills and a one team attitude, supporting both Finance and IT colleagues.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional languages are an advantage.
